Great Britain Tang Soo Do is fully committed to safeguarding the well-being of all its members, especially children and vulnerable adults. We believe that everyone has the right to train in an environment free from abuse, harassment, and discrimination.
All our instructors undergo regular background checks and are trained in our safeguarding policies and procedures. We have a designated Safeguarding Officer who is the point of contact for any concerns.
What is safeguarding?
Safeguarding is the action that is taken to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm.
Safeguarding means:
- Protecting children from abuse and maltreatment
- Preventing harm to children’s health or development
- Ensuring children grow up with the provision of safe and effective care
- Taking action to enable all children and young people to have the best outcomes.
- Safeguarding children and child protection guidance and legislation applies to all children up to the age of 18.
All our Instructors are DBS checked by our partners Personnel Checks.

Reporting a Concern
If you have any concerns about your own safety or the safety of another member, please do not hesitate to speak with your instructor or contact our Safeguarding Officer directly. All concerns will be treated with the utmost seriousness and confidentiality.
